Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home LogoCotswolds Dogs and Cats Home (CDCH) is a leading animal rescue charity based in Gloucestershire. They are run by Cotswolds, Gloucester & District RSPCA and for over 80 years have been working to alleviate animal cruelty and suffering. Every year, they care for hundreds of animals who have been abandoned, abused and neglected, making sure that each and every one of them is made safe, given appropriate veterinary treatment and of course, plenty of love, before they are matched with new families to find their forever home. They actively rehome cats, dogs and small furry animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. In addition to their rehoming centre, CDCH also runs low cost veterinary clinics in Stroud twice a week, for individuals receiving means tested benefits. These clinics have a lasting impact on the local community, as they ensure that no animal suffers due to the cost of veterinary treatment.

Last year, the charity helped over 650 through their welfare clinics, neutering and help voucher schemes, and rehomed 186 dogs, cats and small animals, over half of which were brought to the charity by RSPCA inspectors, often having been rescued from some of the worst cases of neglect and abuse.

Despite them being affiliated with the RSPCA, the Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home is an independent charity, relying on income from the community to keep their rehoming centre running. Donations given by supporters and funds raised within the community stay directly with the charity, which helps to ensure that all of the animals in their care are given everything they need.

This month, we are proud to be supporting the Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home in our March charity poll. Cast your vote for them today and help them win 20% of our profits, which will go towards helping some of the most sick and vulnerable animals throughout Gloucestershire.
